The Gentlemen’s Lounge runs two barbershops, in Biggleswade and Potton. We built them a five-page site that gets people booked in and helps each shop show up in its own town’s searches.

The brief

The Gentlemen’s Lounge has been cutting hair in Biggleswade since 2014 and opened its second shop, in Potton, three years ago. Bookings already ran through Fresha, but there was no website to show off the shops or help people find them on Google.

Calum, the owner, wanted a site that felt like the shops themselves. That meant client-first service and no discounting, with nothing on the site that looked like a chain.

What we built

  • A page for each shop, so Biggleswade and Potton can each rank for their own town
  • A services and pricing page, with every price shown up front
  • A Book Now button on every page that goes straight to Fresha, plus a fixed call and book bar on mobile
  • Real photos of the shops throughout, with no stock images anywhere on the site
  • Google reviews on the homepage, and FAQs that answer what people actually search for
  • Structured data for the business and its FAQs, so search engines and AI tools can read the site properly

Built for how people book

Most people looking for a barber are on their phone and want to book there and then. The site is built around that. They find the right shop, see the price and book in a couple of taps.
