Our Story
One Van, a Toolbox, and a Promise
Ridgeline Plumbing & Heating started the way most good trades businesses do — with one van, a toolbox, and a promise to do the job properly. Founder Dave Hartley trained as a gas engineer in Leeds in the early 2000s, and after a decade working for larger regional firms, set out on his own with a simple idea: keep it local, keep it honest, and keep the same faces turning up on the doorstep.
More than fifteen years on, that hasn’t changed. We’re a family-run team of Gas Safe registered engineers based right here in Leeds, still taking calls from the same office, still standing behind every job we complete.
Whether it’s a dripping tap or a full heating system install, we treat every job — big or small — with the same standard of work we’d want in our own homes. That reputation is what’s grown the business, not advertising gimmicks or aggressive sales tactics.

Every engineer who visits your home is a direct employee of Ridgeline — not a subcontractor we’ve found for the day. That means consistent standards, proper training records, and someone who can be held accountable if something isn’t right.
We use diagnostic equipment rather than guesswork to get to the root of a problem, and we’ll always explain what we’ve found and what it’ll cost before any work starts. If a job needs a second visit or specialist parts, we say so upfront rather than after the invoice arrives.
It’s a simple approach, but it’s the reason most of our work now comes from repeat customers and word of mouth across Leeds and West Yorkshire, rather than one-off callers who never use us again.
